Homemade Biscuits & Creamed Honey

Homemade Biscuits & Creamed Honey

Super Simple Homemade Biscuits with Creamed Honey -

Sometimes, the best recipes are the simplest. This may be a biscuit recipe but lets be clear, the star of the show today is our Montana ✨Creamed Clover ✨ The smooth texture and mild sweetness of our creamed honey spreads effortlessly on a warm biscuit, adding just the right amount of natural sweetness.

Why Creamed Honey?

Creamed honey is honey that has been carefully crystallized to create a smooth, spreadable texture. It has a delicate flavor, yet rich texture and because it’s made from our pure, raw honey, it’s naturally sweet without any additives. Unlike regular honey, creamed honey doesn’t drip or run, making it perfect for spreading on biscuits, toast, or even pancakes.

These biscuits use just five ingredients, yet they come out of the oven golden, tender, and ready to pair with anything you love. Whether you’re a biscuit pro or trying homemade biscuits for the first time, this recipe is as easy as it gets! All you need is flour, baking powder, salt, butter and whole milk. We prefer organic ingredients when we can!

We’re doing drop biscuits and this just means that instead of rolling and cutting the dough, you will scoop your dough and drop straight on the pan. This saves times and creates interesting textues and flakes on your biscuits!

4 Ingredient Organic Biscuit Recipe

Let’s dive into this quick and easy recipe for biscuits!

SERVING SIZE: 10

PREP TIME: 10 MINS

COOK TIME: 10-12 mins or until golden brown

Ingredients

  • 2 cups organic all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp organic baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1 cup organic whole milk

How to Make Homemade Biscuits

  1. Prehat Oven Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Grate Butter Unwrap your cold stick of butter and grate into the flour mixture then mix to evenly distribute. TIP: Place your butter in the freezer for 15 minutes before making the recipe. This makes it easier to grate.
  4. Add Milk & Mix Create a small well in the middle of your flour and butter mixture and slowly pour milk and begin to stir. Dont over mix, some lumps are okay! Mix about 30 seconds until the dough comes away from the walls of the bowl.
  5. Scoop & Drop Using a small icecream scoop or tablespoon, scoop dough and drop onto your baking tray. You should yield about 10.
  6. Bake Put your biscuits in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  7. Enjoy Let the biscuits cool slightly (or dont!) then spread with Good Honey's creamed clover. You can also add butter for a buttery-honey duo!

Tips For Perfect Biscuts

  • Dont over mix Stir the dough just until it comes together. Overmixing can make the biscuits tough.

  • Keep the ingredients cold Cold milk and butter helps create fluffy layers.
